Our story began long before we knew what love would become. In seventh grade, Daniel walked into Mrs. Norsworthy’s classroom at Montgomery Junior High and immediately noticed the prettiest girl he had ever seen, complete with a big bow in her hair. He tried his best to catch her attention, but Olivia was an eighth grader and far too cool to give him the time of day.

A few years later, fate brought us together again as we passed each other in the halls of Montgomery High School. This time, conversation came easily and something special began to grow. In 2017, Daniel officially asked for permission to make Valentine's dinner for Olivia and from that moment on, we were inseparable. The next year and a half was filled with Friday night lights, pep rallies, Homecoming, Fall Ball, Winter Formal, Cotillion Senior Presentation, Junior and Senior Prom, hanging out with friends, just having a blast together.

When it came time for Olivia to leave Montgomery for Texas Tech, we made the difficult decision not to attempt long distance. The following year, Daniel moved to College Station, ready to start a new chapter of his own and then, suddenly, the world changed. COVID shut everything down, sending us both back home to Montgomery. It was then we saw each other again, we knew without a doubt that this was it!

Even as life pulled us back to different campuses—Texas Tech and Texas A&M—we chose each other. Distance, timing, and circumstance couldn’t compete with a love that was meant to be. What began as a crush in a junior high classroom has grown into a forever kind of love, and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
